This feature ( :-) ) seems to appear from use of summon pet monsters. I got an idea from this: whenever the the sp's goes over, overloaded sp's are consumed randomally as in "wand of wonder". This could make some fun. So there could also be "scroll of magic", that gives some amount of magic energy. And "wand of magic", that boosts magic energy to arbitary direction. Do you have fontpaths set correctly. You can try this at first by prompt> xset +fp font_dir prompt> xset fp rehash prompt> crossedit At the moment I can't remember ( yes, there some amount of time since coded 0.4 and there is some code changed after that :) ) any other reason. And at the moment I am not willing to develop CrossEdit, because there exists so many pacthes after last release, that there are no good base-code to develop against. But as soon as a new version of CrossFire, playing or development, is released, I will continue. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // Petri Heinila // email: Petri.Heinila@lut.fi // // // mail: Ainonkatu 2A // // // 53100 Lappeenranta // // // Finland, Europe // //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// From owner-crossfire Mon May 31 21:07:54 1993 Received: by ifi.uio.no id for crossfire.alias; Mon, 31 May 1993 19:07:56 +0200 Return-Path: Received: from surt.ifi.uio.no by ifi.uio.no with SMTP id for ; Mon, 31 May 1993 19:07:55 +0200 From: Kjetil Torgrim Homme Received: by surt.ifi.uio.no ; Mon, 31 May 1993 19:07:54 +0200 Date: Mon, 31 May 1993 19:07:54 +0200 Message-Id: <199305311707.AAsurt.ifi.uio.no28356@surt.ifi.uio.no> To: Petri.Heinila@lut.fi Cc: crossfire@ifi.uio.no In-Reply-To: Petri Heinil{'s message of Mon, 31 May 93 19:04:18 +0300 <9305311604.AA05674@cc.lut.fi> Subject: Re: Crossedit Status: RO If you are using a monochrome screen, e.g. wastelands will be shown white on white.
