playing

Hi,

I have a little problem :
I ran  :
"crossfire -server &"
And a friend used :
"crossclient -server my_machine"
to play.
When he exists the game, the server stops.
Is this normal ? And how could I get rid of this ?
(because each time you restart crossfire, you lose all what you have done
on the maps)
