 For those that have been having numerous core dumps, you may want to make
sure that the unique-items directory is created in LIBDIR (make install
should do this), and that the directory is writable by whatever 
uid/gid crossfire runs under.

 Or, you can just turn off the UNIQUE_ITEMS code in the config.h file.
