 I also agree that be very careful about putting specific items on maps.
I notice this especially with potions.  But putting a specific potion
(potion of strength, potion of int, etc), that potion is guaranteed to be
there, and identified, and not cursed.  But putting a random potion there,
means that the potoin may be cursed, or may not be a potion at all.
