I havent really been in the discussion much, but I definitely agree,
crossfire is too slow (assuming the speed would be greatly
improved with a crossfire client)
I really only play it on the local server, the speed is great. Tried
it a couple of times a while back on remote servers - couldnt stand it.
Reminds me - has anyone every got a lot of participation at one time?
The most I've seen at one time on the local server was 5 or 6 players,
maybe 3 at most wandering together. I remember that one mUD a while
ago that used to get 100-120 players about once a week (and the lag
wasnt too bad - the shouting was :)
