newbie ?: crossclient?

Sorry guys, I'm yet another newbie...

I've attempted to play crossfire using the telnet command, however it was
rather slow and unresponsive (as would be expected with that much network
dependence). In the WWW page at Cardiff (http://www.cm.cf.ac.uk/Crossfire/)
it mentions starting the game with a command like crossclient, but I haven't
seen any source for the client program. Does it exist and where might it
be found if it does?
