I totally agree. Like say 5 for a robe, 15 for leather/ring/scale, 25 for
chain, 40 for plate/dragonmail.

I've always wondered (hah! [whack]) about the wonder-spell. What's it REALLY
for? Amusement? Judging by the effects of it, it's spell failures reincarnated.
