As a general comment, could people please only send messages to the
crossfire list rather than to the sender and the list? It should be
clear that I read the list.

Well, then I guess I would propose that you write more maps. I'll
agree that there are now fewer maps, and that this makes things
harder, but I don't think the solution is to dump in all the old maps
which are much more unbalanced than the current ones; the solution is
to make new maps which are also cool. Invent some quests for
beginning characters.

You can't get to the old maps -- at least not with the distributions I
have seen.
