This one is easy - use a trigger instead of a lever.

Sounds good (about the rowdy sailors).

I like this. Scorn is the perfect place for it. Other towns might have
them too,

A friend and I came up with this idea for his map set 'Elven Wood Estate'.
We haven't implemented it yet due to his work committments.
