    I like to paly crossfire at home but as I play on a Linux machine
    (PC display - 16 bit color X server) I am limited to a display
    of   800x600 pixels.
    
    Anyone have a good client I can use for a smaller display?

You can always try the java client.
It is more resize-friendly, AND you can specify what font you'd like to
use.

[funnily enough, I think one of the last things I did with it, was make
