Hi,
I haven't followed the development since 0.93.1. There are a lot of
differences in 0.95.5 regarding the various gods and their advantages.
First of all, the retributive strike spell is too powerful. A high
level priest can kill a Jessy with a single spell. Maybe just half
bdam and double ldam, so you need twice as many spells for the same
effect.
IMHO too many gods (all with Attuned: Wounding) give the retributive
strike spell. Gods with Attuned: Wounding or Death should have
significant disadvantages.
Gorokh: Attuned: Wounding _and_ Death. I think this is just too much.
Gorokh does not even have any important disadvantages.
Sorig: Attuned: Wounding. Maybe just remove this and create a new
"holy lightning" spell: Similar too Finger of Death (i.e. spell uses
get_pointed_target()) but with AT_GODPOWER | AT_LIGHTNING, no AT_MAGIC
and much damage (for example, dam 300). (I won't have the time to
implement this, but it shouldn't be too difficult.)
Ruggilli: The only important advantage is Attuned: Wounding. Other
gods give the same without so many disadvantages. Another new
advantage could be faster spellpoint regeneration (for example, start
with +1 at level 1, then another +1 every 15 levels, maximum +5).
Gnarg: Attack: Poison and Attuned: Wounding is interesting (cause
critical wounds becomes a very powerful poison spell, powerful enough
to kill dragons with poison). Should have a disadvantage (e.g.
Vulnerable: Electricity and luck-1).
