Map creation

Hi...
I'm in the process of creating news maps for crossfire (mainly building 
up houses for Scorn - the city seems too much empty for my taste :-)

i'd like to know a few things (I'm kind of a newbie to the list, though a 
long time player...)
1- How often is there a new version of crossfire, patched with the 
bugs fix/enhancement ?
2- How often a new map archive is distributed, with new maps ?
3- What are the requirements for new maps ? I'd like to make them good the 
first time, if possible... And what happens if two persons sends maps for 
the same building ? 
4- Is there any MAPS TO DO list of some kind ?
